\u00d6z:<\/strong> Miletos tipinde amphoralar Pedasa kaz\u0131lar\u0131 buluntusu amphoralar\u0131n yakla\u015f\u0131k %90 civar\u0131ndaki bir k\u0131sm\u0131\u00adn\u0131 olu\u015fturmaktad\u0131r. Miletos ve \u00e7evresinde yayg\u0131n olan bant ve dalgal\u0131 \u00e7izgi bezeliler (Fig. 1 no: 1-4) ve bezemesiz (Fig. 2 no: 5-9) ticari amphoralar, Miletos tipleri ile kronolojik ve tipolojik birliktelik i\u00e7eri\u00adsindedirler. Bu amphoralar\u0131n K\u0131y\u0131 Karia\u2019n\u0131n amphora tiplerini olu\u015fturmas\u0131, b\u00f6lgede bir\u00e7ok yerde \u00fcretilmi\u015f olabileceklerine i\u015faret etmektedir. Pedasa buluntular\u0131n\u0131n \u00f6nemli bir k\u0131sm\u0131n\u0131n ise Miletos kaynakl\u0131 oldu\u011fu \u00f6nerilmektedir. Mykale ile Bybassos aras\u0131ndaki b\u00f6lgesel amphora \u00fcretiminin, Miletos\u2019un Arkaik D\u00f6nem ticaretinin boyutlar\u0131na etkisi ancak kil analizlerinin yap\u0131lmas\u0131ndan sonra anla\u015f\u0131labilecektir. \u00dcretim b\u00f6lgesi\u00adnin co\u011frafi boyutu g\u00f6z \u00f6n\u00fcne al\u0131nd\u0131\u011f\u0131nda, Miletoslu ve Karial\u0131 t\u00fcccarlar\u0131n Miletos tipinde amphoralarla ta\u015f\u0131d\u0131klar\u0131 ticari de\u011fere d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015fm\u00fc\u015f tar\u0131msal \u00fcr\u00fcnlerin, Arkaik D\u00f6nem ticaretinde \u00f6nemli bir paya sahip olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131 g\u00f6r\u00fclmektedir. Bu yorum tar\u0131msal \u00fcr\u00fcnlerin sadece yerel amphoralarla ta\u015f\u0131nmas\u0131 durumunda ge\u00e7erlidir. Abstract: <\/strong>First observations from Pedasa excavations attest that nearly %90 of all Archaic amphorae from the site are of Milesian type. Amphorae with banded and wavy lined decoration (Fig. 1 no: 1-4) which are common at Miletus and its environs and trade amphorae without any decoration (Fig. 2 no: 5-9) are infact related chronologically and typologically. Milesian types might have been produced in several places in the region since they form the major amphora type of Coastal Caria. However, It seems likely that most amphora finds from Pedasa might actually have Milesian origin. Clay analyses would contribute to our understanding of the impact of regional scale amphora production taken place between Mycale and Bybassos on the trade connections of Archaic Miletos. Considering the geographical extend of the production area, agricultural commodities carried in Milesian type amphorae distributed by Milesian and Carian merchants do not have a significant place in Archaic trade. This suggestion is true if amphora is taken as the only vessel for transportation of the commodities. Regional distribution of amphorae contributes to the understanding of interregional trade relations. Knidian and Koan wines and olive oil produced in the north of Keramos Gulf may have been transported in Milesian type amphorae for local use in the cities of the region including Miletos, Pedasa and Iasos.<\/p>\n
