\u00d6z:\u00a0<\/strong>Yap\u0131lan ara\u015ft\u0131rmalar, insano\u011flunun varolu\u015f s\u00fcrecinde hayat\u0131n\u0131 s\u00fcr\u00fcd\u00fcrmek i\u00e7in yeme-i\u00e7me yan\u0131nda bo\u015falt\u0131m ihtiyac\u0131n\u0131 gidermek \u00fczere de birtak\u0131m sistemlere sahip oldu\u011funu ortaya \u00e7\u0131karmaktad\u0131r. Tuvalet olgusu, Latince terminoloji ile latrina, <\/em>her toplum ve her tabakada farkl\u0131 d\u00fczeylerde ve \u015fekillerde de olsa bir sistem olarak i\u015fleyi\u015f \u015fekillerine sahiptir. Bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada ilk olarak latrina<\/em> kavram\u0131n\u0131n ortaya \u00e7\u0131k\u0131\u015f\u0131ndan itibaren y\u00fczy\u0131llar i\u00e7inde ge\u00e7irdi\u011fi evrilme s\u00fcreci ele al\u0131nacak ve Phaselis latrina <\/em>yap\u0131s\u0131 \u00f6zelinde kom\u015fu b\u00f6lgesel ve baz\u0131 Anadolu kentlerindeki \u00f6rnekler ile kar\u015f\u0131la\u015ft\u0131rmal\u0131 bir \u015fekilde s\u00f6z konusu s\u00fcre\u00e7 analiz edilmeye \u00e7al\u0131\u015f\u0131lacakt\u0131r. Bunu yaparken kentin olmazsa olmaz yap\u0131lar\u0131ndan biri olan Latrina<\/em>\u2019n\u0131n, Phaselis\u2019in yerle\u015fim arkeolojisi i\u00e7indeki konumu ve mimari \u00f6zellikleri, r\u00f6l\u00f6ve-restit\u00fcsyon \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131yla birlikte incelenecektir. Bu \u015fekilde latrina<\/em>\u2019n\u0131n, aktif olarak kullan\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131 d\u00f6nemlerde kentin fiziki ve sosyal durumu hakk\u0131nda da fikir edinilmeye \u00e7al\u0131\u015f\u0131lacakt\u0131r.<\/p>\n

Abstract:<\/strong> The researches reveal that humankind has needed some kind of systems, apart from food and beverage, they also have needed to relieve themselves in order to lead their life during their existence. The matter of toilet, in Latin terminology latrina, has various functions as a system in each society and populace. This study is about how latrina evolved in time, beginning with the term of latrina, and it is analysed in the light of latrina in Phaselis with comparisons of neighbor cities and some Anatolian cities. While doing so, the latrina of Phaselis is studied with its location in the settlement archaeology, its architectural features and relievo-restoration studies. By doing so, the aim is to obtain information about the physical and social conditions of the city when the latrina of Phaselis was used actively.<\/p>\n
