It can be said that there was a rural life, agriculture and animal husbandry in the region during the sarcophagus and the vine-grape and shepherd display on its cover. The cock (rooster) seen on the lid of the sarcophagus is associated with sunrise, light, the transition from puberty to manhood, courage, warriorship, victory, eroticism and birth. In addition, the cock is a status symbol, it also has a votive and gift function. However, the cock, which has a chitonic aspect in tomb iconography and is considered to be associated with death and rebirth, may have assumed a protective role here and possibly a messenger of light in the world of the dead. In addition, the depiction of the cock may indicate that the first owner of the sarcophagus was a man.
