Lahit teknesi ve kapa\u011f\u0131ndaki asma-\u00fcz\u00fcm ve \u00e7oban g\u00f6sterimiyle d\u00f6neminde b\u00f6lgede k\u0131rsal bir ya\u015fam\u0131n oldu\u011fu, tar\u0131m ve hayvanc\u0131l\u0131k yap\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131 s\u00f6ylenebilir. Lahit kapa\u011f\u0131nda g\u00f6r\u00fclen horoz, g\u00fcne\u015fin do\u011fu\u015fu, \u0131\u015f\u0131k, ergenlikten erkekli\u011fe ge\u00e7i\u015f, cesaret, sava\u015f\u00e7\u0131l\u0131k, zafer, erotizm ve do\u011fum ile ba\u011flant\u0131l\u0131 g\u00f6r\u00fcl\u00fcr. Ayr\u0131ca horoz stat\u00fc sembol\u00fcd\u00fcr, adak ve arma\u011fan i\u015flevi de vard\u0131r. Abstract: <\/strong>The Karabucak Sarcophagus reflects the Pisidia tradition with its shield and Lycian tradition with with its semi-circular lid. It can be said that there was a rural life, agriculture and animal husbandry in the region during the sarcophagus and the vine-grape and shepherd display on its cover. The cock (rooster) seen on the lid of the sarcophagus is associated with sunrise, light, the transition from puberty to manhood, courage, warriorship, victory, eroticism and birth. In addition, the cock is a status symbol, it also has a votive and gift function. However, the cock, which has a chitonic aspect in tomb iconography and is considered to be associated with death and rebirth, may have assumed a protective role here and possibly a messenger of light in the world of the dead. In addition, the depiction of the cock may indicate that the first owner of the sarcophagus was a man. What needs to be done by traveling\/local craftsmen who are familiar with the local sarcophagus tradition Karabucak Sarcophagus can be dated to the IInd<\/sup>-IIIrd<\/sup> century A.D.<\/p>\n
