In particular, Bektashi, one of the most important Islamic Sufi orders, took root and developed around Phoenix. A lively social life was formed in the region during the Ottoman period. This vitality also manifested itself in the ancient city of Limyra, and the K\u00e2f\u00ee Baba Lodge in Phoenix developed as a branch of the Abdal Musa Dervish Lodge in Elmal\u0131 and emerged as one of the important centers of the Alevi-Bektashi tradition. K\u00e2f\u00ee Baba Lodge, which was certainly an important Sufi education center where the principles of Bektashi beliefs were taught, has a deep-rooted history. However, it has been destroyed over the centuries, so it has been the scene of a comprehensive reconstruction activity in the Modern Age, early XIXth century. K\u00e2f\u00ee Baba Lodge is one of the most important and well-established centers of Alevi-Bektashi culture in the region. It is also one of the pioneering centers of the early colonizing dervish movement that was instrumental in the Islamisation of Phoenix and Limyra. This study discusses the personality of K\u00e2f\u00ee Baba, who gave his name to the tekke.
