The Doric order begins to be seen in Western Anatolia with the Archaic Period, as in continental Greece. However, it does not become as widespread as in continental Greece and Italy. Metropolis is one of the cities that used the Doric architectural order intensively during the Hellenistic Period, as in other cities of Western Anatolia. The most important buildings in the city such as the Sanctuary of Ares, the Sanctuary of Zeus Krezimos, the Theatre (<em>Proskenion <\/em>1st Story), the Bouleuterion, the Stoa and the Trade Building? were built in the Doric order. The intensive use of this design in Metropolis during the Hellenistic Period is remarkable. This situation can be explained in three ways. According to the first interpretation, the Doric architectural order was transferred from mainland Greece to Metropolis through the interaction and eventual assimilation between the local inhabitants and Greek colonists, especially during the 8th to 6th centuries BCE. An alternative interpretation posits that the Doric architectural order was adopted in Metropolis due to its relative simplicity of execution compared to the Ionic and Corinthian orders, potentially contributing to its popularity in the region. Metropolis di\u011fer Bat\u0131 Anadolu kentlerinde oldu\u011fu gibi Hellenistik D\u00f6nem i\u00e7inde Dor mimari d\u00fczenini yo\u011fun olarak kullan kentlerden biridir. Kentteki en \u00f6nemli yap\u0131lar olan Ares Kutsal Alan\u0131, Zeus Krezimos Kutsal Alan\u0131, Tiyatro (Proskenion 1. Kat), Bouleuterion, Stoa ve Ticaret Yap\u0131s\u0131? Dor d\u00fczeninde in\u015fa edilmi\u015flerdir. Metropolis\u2019te bu tasar\u0131m\u0131n Hellenistik D\u00f6nem\u2019de yo\u011fun oranda kullan\u0131m\u0131 dikkat \u00e7ekicidir. Bu durum \u00fc\u00e7 \u015fekilde a\u00e7\u0131klanabilir. Birincisi Metropolis\u2019te ya\u015fayan yerel haklar\u0131n Hellas\u2019tan gelen kolonilestlerle \u00f6zelikle de M\u00d6 8-6. y\u00fczy\u0131llarda kar\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131 sonucunda bu mimari d\u00fczenin K\u0131ta Yunanistan\u2019dan getirildi\u011fi d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcncesidir. Alternatif bir yorum, Dor d\u00fczeninin Ion ve Korinth d\u00fczenlerine k\u0131yasla uygulanmas\u0131n\u0131n g\u00f6reli olarak daha kolay olmas\u0131 nedeniyle Metropolis\u2019te benimsendi\u011fini ve bu durumun b\u00f6lgede s\u00f6z konusu mimari d\u00fczenin yayg\u0131nl\u0131k kazanmas\u0131na katk\u0131 sa\u011flam\u0131\u015f olabilece\u011fini \u00f6ne s\u00fcrmektedir.
