\u00d6z<\/strong>: <\/span>Olympos antik kentinde, 2009-2012 y\u0131llar\u0131 aras\u0131nda \u201cGiri\u015f Kompleksi<\/em>\u201d ve \u201cK\u00f6pr\u00fc Caddesi<\/em>\u201d olarak adland\u0131\u00adr\u0131lm\u0131\u015f alanlarda ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftirilen kaz\u0131larda toplam 35 adet bronz Bizans sikkesi bulunmu\u015ftur. Sikkelerin 31\u2019i Erken Bizans, 4\u2019\u00fc Orta Bizans D\u00f6nemine tarihlendirilmektedir. Ele ge\u00e7en sikkelerden 11\u2019i \u00e7ok y\u0131pranm\u0131\u015f ve a\u015f\u0131n\u00adm\u0131\u015f durumdad\u0131r ayr\u0131ca yaz\u0131tlar\u0131 da okunaks\u0131zd\u0131r. Ayn\u0131 zamanda darphane ve imparatorlar\u0131 belirsizdir. An\u00adcak \u00f6zellikle arka y\u00fczde belirgin olan birim i\u015faretlerinden dolay\u0131 Erken Bizans D\u00f6nemi sikkeleri oldu\u011fu tespit edilmektedir. Olympos kaz\u0131lar\u0131nda ele ge\u00e7en sikkelerin % 42\u2019si Konstantinopolis darphanesine aittir. Ba\u015fkent\u00adteki darphane, kurulu\u015fundan beri imparatorlu\u011fun b\u00fct\u00fcn do\u011fusuna sikke sa\u011flayan ve bu b\u00f6lgede en fazla \u00fcre\u00adtimde bulunan darphane olma \u00f6zelli\u011fi ta\u015f\u0131d\u0131\u011f\u0131 i\u00e7in Olympos\u2019ta y\u00fcksek temsil edilme oran\u0131 olduk\u00e7a nor\u00admaldir. Konstantinopolis darphanesini % 13 ile Antiokheia takip etmektedir. Erken Bizans D\u00f6nemi sikkelerinin %10\u2019u Nikomedia ve % 3\u2019\u00fc (1 sikke) Kartaca darphanelerine aittir. Olympos kaz\u0131lar\u0131nda \u00f6zellikle Balkanlara hizmet veren Thessalonika darphanesine ait sikke hen\u00fcz ele ge\u00e7memi\u015ftir. Bunun ile birlikte, Kartaca gibi Bat\u0131 darphanelerine ait 1 adet sikke bulunmaktad\u0131r. Olympos kaz\u0131lar\u0131nda bulunan sikkeler, Likya b\u00f6lgesindeki di\u011fer kentlerin kaz\u0131 \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131nda ele ge\u00e7mi\u015f sikkeler ile istatistiksel olarak kar\u015f\u0131la\u015ft\u0131r\u0131lm\u0131\u015f. Arkeolojik kaz\u0131lar\u0131 ger\u00e7ekle\u015fmi\u015f ya da devam eden kaz\u0131lardan sadece Arykanda, Patara, Kaunos ve Derea\u011fz\u0131 kaz\u0131lar\u0131nda bulun\u00admu\u015f Bizans sikke verileri kar\u015f\u0131la\u015ft\u0131rmada kullan\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Likya b\u00f6lgesinde, s\u0131n\u0131rl\u0131 say\u0131da kentlerin sikke bulun\u00adtular\u0131n\u0131 temsil eden \u00f6rnekler \u00fczerinden elde edilen veriye g\u00f6re, kentler Erken ve Orta Bizans d\u00f6nemindeki sik\u00adke say\u0131s\u0131ndaki art\u0131\u015f ve Ge\u00e7 Bizans d\u00f6nemindeki sikke say\u0131s\u0131ndaki d\u00fc\u015f\u00fc\u015f ile paralellik g\u00f6stermektedir.

Abstract:<\/strong><\/span> In the ancient city of Olympos, 35 bronze Byzantine coins were found in the excavations carried out around the “Entrance Complex<\/em>” and “Bridge Street<\/em>“. 31 of the coins are dated to be Early Byzantine Period while 4 of them to be Middle Byzantine Period. 11 of the coins found are fairly worn and eroded and the inscriptions on them are not legible. Also their mints and emperors are not uncertain. But due to the unit marks conspicuous especially on the reverses, they are determined to belong to Early Byzantine Period. 42 % of the coins found in the Olympos excavations belong to Constantinople mint. Because this mint in the capital is the one that provided coin for the entire Eastern block of the empire and that made the greatest production in the area, its high representation rate in Olympos is quite normal. Antiokheia follows right after Constantinople with 13 %. 10 % of the Early Byzantine Period coins come from Nikomedia and 3 % of them (1 coin) from Cartagena mint. The coin from the Thessalonica mint that provided service especially for the Balkan has yet to be found in the Olympos excavations. However, 1 coin belonging to the western mints, Cartagena, was found. The coins found in the Olympos excavations were statistically compared to the other coins found during excavations in the other cities around Lycia. Among the finished or ongoing archeological excavations only the data of the Byzantine coins found in the excavations of Arykanda, Patara, Kaunos and Derea\u011fz\u0131 were used in the comparison. According to the data obtained from the samples representing the coin findings of cities limited in number in the Lycian area, the cities show paralellism with the increase in coin numbers in the Early and Middle Byzatine Period and the decrease in the Late Byzatine Period.
