Öz: Buradaki makalede, 2017 yılında Hadrianus Kapısı önünde gerçekleştirilen çalışmalar sırasında bulunan ve üzerinde beş satır yazıt taşıyan bir kaide parçası tanıtılmaktadır. Söz konusu yazıtın bir onurlan­dırma metnini içerdiği düşünülmektedir. Burada sunulan tamamlamada, aynı zamanda procurator ve filozof olarak kaydedilen ve Mouseion’da bedava yemek yeme ayrıcalığıyla ödüllendirilmiş olan, fakat adına ilişkin herhangi bir emareye sahip olmadığımız kişinin, Marcus Aurelius praenomen ve nomenini taşıyan biri tarafından – söz konusu kişinin dostu vasfıyla – onurlandırıldığı önerilmektedir. Onurlandırmayı yapan kişi için her ne kadar net bir şey söylenemese de Phaselis vatandaşı olmalıdır. Onurlandırılan kişi de Lykia ve Pamphylia procuratoru ve imparator nezdinde hatrı sayılan bir filozof olarak muhtemelen kent için bir yardımda bulunmuştur.

Abstract: This article presents a pedestal fragment with five lines of inscriptions which is discovered during the excavation of Hadrian’s Gate in 2017. The aforementioned inscription is thought to contain an honorary text. In the completion presented here, it is suggested that a person who is also registered as a procurator, philosopher and a privilege holder of free food at Mouseion, but whose name we don’t have any sign on the inscription here, is honored by someone called with praenomen and nomen Marcus Aurelius – a friend of the honored person -. Although it’s not certain, the honoring person must be a citizen of Phaselis. The honored person probably made a contribution to the city as a procurator of Lycia and Pamphylia, and as a philosopher who could be likely a well-regarded person in the eye of the emperor.
