Öz: Akdeniz Üniversitesi, Tarih Bölümü, Eskiçağ Tarihi Anabilim Dalı bünyesinde Kültür ve Turizm Bakan­lığı’nın izni çerçevesinde Phaselis antik kentinde disiplinlerarası yüzey araştırması projesi yürütülmektedir. Proje yürütücüsü 21.12.2017 tarihinde Phaselis kuzey limanı sahiline yarı canlı şekilde bir köpek balığının can çekişerek karaya vurduğunu görmüştür. Yapılan tür teşhisinde bu balığın altı solungaç yarıklı Boz Camgöz köpek balığı (Hexanchus griseus Bonnaterre, 1788) olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu balık yaklaşık 200 cm toplam boy ve yaklaşık 50 kg ağırlığa sahip dişi bir bireydir. Kıyıya vuran bu balık yenmiş bir kuyruk yüzgecine sahiptir. Kıyılarımızda çok nadir yakalanan bu balığın kaydının bildirilmesi, Türkiye denizlerinde devam eden balıkçılık biyolojisi ve taksonomik çalışmalara katkıda bulunabilir.

Abstract: The research undertaken with in the project of The Survey of Phaselis and its Territorium which is conducted by the Akdeniz University, Ancient History Department within the framework of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, includes determining the biological diversity in the ancient city and in its hinterland. The bluntnose six-gillshark, Hexanchus griseus is found on the shores of the ancient city of Phaselis. This fish is female and about 200 cm total lenght and ca. 50 kg in weight. The bluntnose six-gillshark’s caudal fin has been partly eaten. This fish, which is rarely seen in the Mediterranean, is an important record for the taxonomic and biological fish studies conducted in seas of Turkey.
